The Historical Centre is in charge of cultural monuments and relics in the Industrial Park.

Exhibitions:
Small glimpses into the industrial development at Raufoss are offered in the following exhibitions:

• A historical exhibition at ”Raufoss Gård” (farm) (1896 – 1905).
• Temporary product exhibition in building 41 (in the Industrial Park)
• The power plant from 1916.

Archives– documentation (Hist)
Roughly speaking the archives can be divided into 4 groups:

• Written documentation from 1896 to 1996. Are partly stored in dust free boxes in a 504-shelf-metre archive.
• Photo archive. (Both the companies and the local community). Are partly stored in dust free boxes. Substantial cataloguing remains to be done (Digitizing).
• Media archive. (16mm film, video, -format, DVD). Work to stream everything to DVD is under way.
• Items archive and production machines. Includes hundreds of products and a modest number of production machines.

Library.
Hist has a comprehensive library consisting of:

• Historical literature (local and national)
• Technical literature
• Parliamentary documents regarding the military companies.
• Reference books
• Clippings of interest from newspapers

External cooperation
Hist cooperates with the National Archives at Hamar, the Mjös Museum (Mjøsmuseet) and the Norwegian Defence Museum.

Operation
the centre is run by 4-5 unpaid pensioners.

Cooperation with the companies in the Industrial Park
The Historical Centrecooperates with the companies on taking care of and preserving documentation that is regarded as important in order to describe the historical development of the companies and the local industrial community.

Material that should be sent to the Historical Centre:

• Copies of photos, DVDs, CDs, videos, posters, advertising material, notices, articles, milestones, etc. should be sent to Hist immediately on completion
• The Historical Centre functions as the final archive of the companies.
